Ode to A Homemaker

Get out of bed
You Sleepy head.
The day has begun
And you must be ready to run.
Wash, rinse and repeat,
Not just your hair, everything must be neat!

Doesn't matter if your sick or well.
There's no time to sit for a spell.
Don't be lax or there will be double.
Dirty always makes trouble.
It clings to kids, clothes, pets, and dishes.
Won't you go away and fulfill my wishes?

Finally, I think I have won.
The day is over and I am done.
All of the mess is
Laid to rest.
Until tomorrow and I'll see you again
